2026 Under the Water III
In this performance, a miniature wax village is set alight, melting and collapsing to evoke loss, displacement and ecological uncertainty.
The work reflects on the impacts of climate change and environmental degradation along the Mekong River, where rising sea levels, upstream dams, saltwater intrusion and disrupted river flows threaten local livelihoods, fish migration, and fragile river ecosystems.
Under the Water III continues my exploration of water as a site of memory, vulnerability and survival.
Actions for Water II continues until 8 November 2026 at La Trobe Art Institute, Bendigo, Australia.

2023 “Slow Down”
Metro PlaLorm ,A TRANS- Vitrine U-Zoologischer Berlin Germany
Exploration of pause and slowing down, make time to reflect what is happing around, and the tension between cultural norms and the rapid pace of modern urban life, particularly in adapting to new societal contexts.”Slowing Down” I performed on a metro platform, dressed in traditional Khmer women’s clothing, as I moved slowly through the station. This performance invited viewers to pause and reflect amidst their frenetic daily routines, encouraging them to consider the gendered expectations and cultural traditions that shape our lives. The act of slowing down served as a powerful metaphor for resisting the relentless demands of modernity and reclaiming time for contemplation and introspection.
Performance by Sreymao SAO and Vannak Khun,
