“when I heard about the (exhibition) concept of women and the messages they want to express, I couldn’t think of anyone else but my mother. There are so many stories (of twists and turns) in our lives, but my mother has always been the one pushing us forward with encouragement of a better vision of ourselves”.

Sreymoa’s artwork is a photograph of her mother looking after a baby, on which she sketched shards of wood drawn to her like a magnet. This imagery might rankle some people, but it is Sreymoa’s depiction of how a mother’s life is. In every household, small or big, there will always be problems (the wood) around her but her mother ensures everything will turn out fine, she explained.
